My tats are up over at Ragamuffin Soul. There's pretty good ink. Per Carlos now I gotta tell my story of my pieces.

Content= What you are saying
Form= How your saying it.
Content is king. It is the tip of the iceberg. Form is the base and structure. Form must always point up to the tip, to the content, and support it. You have to decide what your piece, your blog post, your sermon, your song, your painting, your website is going to say and who it is going to say it to. Then dig, grope, search, seek and find the best possible way to do that through a myriad of senses of sight and sound and touch and taste. Any element is only "correct" if it honors the content in form function, look and feel.
Tomorrow, how this affects my life.
So this is pretty cool, and a first. This past Sunday a couple began serving in Productions at Crossroads. Dwayne and Jackie Gannon, the cooler thing is that their son Travis has already been serving as a Graphic Designer and Director on Sunday Mornings, so this past Sunday the son became the teacher and taught his parents how to run a service. A whole family rocking for God in the same place at the same time!!!
In the 80's I was a professional musician in a "hair" band. (see Picture). Today I am losing my hair.(see other picture) So I wake yesterday morning, and out of the two bald spots on the side of my head there are two hairs growing on each side of my head that are exactly the same length and perfectly symmetrical. I looked like an ant! I swear they were not there the night before. A miracle? You decide.
Ps. Yea thats Barb in the picture with me.. smokin!!!
Here are some of the books I just finished up.
Presentation Zen: this is the the best book I have ever read in terms of Design for presentations and how to present. I wish every speaking Pastor would read this book and put it into practice. Great stuff. A good combo book to read with Made To Stick.
Pagan Christianity: Barna's new book on how current Christian traditions developed. Pretty fascinating. I'm doing some more study on this. If you want your head bent on why we do what we do as Christians its worth the read.
No More Christian Nice Guy: My wife bought this book . Good book. I have a lot of stuff to work on.Surely the most butt kicking one of the bunch.
Currently I am reading the year of living biblically by AJ Jacobs. Its very good.
Henry Cloud: Integrity: The Courage to Meet the Demands of Reality
Toby Young: How to Lose Friends and Alienate People [movie tie-in]: A Memoir
Mark Driscoll: Death by Love: Letters from the Cross (Re:Lit)
Ram Charan: The Leadership Pipeline: How to Build the Leadership Powered Company
Mark Driscoll: Vintage Jesus: Timeless Answers to Timely Questions (Relit Theology)
Kathryn D. Cramer: Change the Way You See Everything through Asset-Based Thinking
