What Brian Said
So Brian posted on low cost IT solutions so I thought I'd shoot our media and tech software uses. Unfortunately we don't have as many free open source stuff on this side.
Final Cut and Final Cut Express._ I've been an apple guy since before Eve and I can just do more faster better wit it.
After Effect_My Composting World
Motion_My Other Composting World
Blender_ I SUCK at this program but its what we use for 3D Mad Mike Rox it though so he usually gets the nod.. even though he is far away now :)
Audacity_Best Free Audio Editor there is. We use it everywhere. Sunday morning's podcasting, editing.
Ableton Live_ We use Ableton for running click and trax from stage and for my keyboard rig.ROCKS. The best elastic audio program out there and anymore I spend about 90% of my time in it.
Digital Performer_ for when Audacity won't cut it. ( i've used it forever as well)
CS2/3Photoshop/Indesign/Illustrator.
Gimp/Inkscape/Scribus/XereXtreme The open source cousin to the above we only have one liscence for Cs2 so new people coming on that are trying to decide if they want to join the team get these until they decide if they are going to stick ( Interestingly enough the people that have come on the team in the last year or so with pre existing graphics skills all have had their own version of CS)( Gimpshop pro is pretty sweet version laid out to be like photoshop)
Pixelmator. Dirt Cheap Max pixel editor. Rocks, cheap and the work surface looks fantastic
Media Shout. We use version 2.5 because its stable. Everyone hated 3. Currently we use pc's on Sunday morning but next go around we will switch to mac and either Pro Presenter or iWorship Plus with bootcamp we may be able to stay with Media Shout
Apple computers _Brian and I made the choice to go all mac (or Linux) we are slowly fading out the pc's. I think we have five to go and we are all mac.
Yeah only 5 more PCS and then all Mac.
I wish my computer I use for 3D stuff was a Mac but it is a PC.
I can't wait for Christmas.

We will always have a few Windows machines for F1 check-in. Until Fellowship Tech sees the light or we switch to something else...

Having had to use windoze at my day job for the last 18 months, my long-held belief that Macs are just better has been solidified.
I'm so looking forward to my new MacBookPro and MacPro FCP2 editor when I start the new position in 2 weeks!
My list of favorite software looks much like yours, though I just upgraded to CS3. It rocks.
